How to get to The Black Cock Inn

The Black Cock Inn is located about half-a-mile from the A469 Caerphilly Mountain Road, at the junction of Waunwaelod Way and Blackbook Road. If you wish to use your SatNav, the post code is CF83 1BD.

• If you’re coming from Caerphilly follow the B4623 through the centre of town, past the Railway Station on your left, St. Martin’s Church (on your right) and continue up Mountain Road until you reach a t-junction (Mountain Snack Bar should be on your left). Here, turn right then take the first left (after about 300 meters). We’re about 500 meters down on the left-hand-side.
• If you’re in North Cardiff take A469 through Thornhill (Caerphilly Road, then Thornhill Road) and head past the Crematorium on the left, over the roundabout, and then over the M4 motorway. Continue all the way up the hill, over the crests, and you should past the Mountain Snack Bar on the right (just before a right-hand turn). About 300 meters after this take the turning on the left; we’re about 500 meters down on the left-hand-side.
• If you’re coming in via the M4 or Pontypridd/Merthyr Tydfil way head along the A470 (from Junction 32 of the M4) and take the exit for Nantgarw/Caerphilly. Leave the roundabout to head up Nantgarw Hill, past GE Aircraft Services on the left and at the roundabout at the top, take the fouth exit (A469). You’ll go past a small farm shop and Land Rover garage on your right – take the first right (after about 250 meters) and keep going. After about 750m you should see us in front of you when you reach the junction with Waunwaelod Way.
